At the frontiers of Art, Philosophy and the Life Sciences. That’s the title that caught my attention for the Honours Class by Boo Chapple: Conquering life?. A crossover course for students from all disciplines, this is exactly the kind of course that fits in my vision for education!
This Honours Class was the 2nd one in a row, I found out about it at the Arts and Genomics Centre-website. It is a really great initiative by Robert Zwijnenberg and the Arts and Genomics Centre and I hope they will be able to continue this next year! I am very grateful that Ellen ter Gast pointed me to this honours class at the University of Leiden after I contacted her for additional information regarding a BioArt article written by her.
With this post I’ll try to give my first impression of the course with just two pictures which illustrate for me how I experienced it sofar.
